I spent about a year in Iraq in 2006 & 2010. The number one threat was Iranian made Explosively Formed Projectiles (EFPs) that the Quds forces gave Jaysh al-Mahdi (JAM). These weapons killed hundreds of American soldiers. Further, JAM killed tens of thousands of Iraqis during the 2006 Sunni-Shia Civil War. Our response to Iran was finger waving. Drove me insane.
We’ve been fools with Iran, Pakistan/Taliban, and North Korea. We think $ and prestige will induce better behavior. Completely absurd.

Well written, as usual, and very enlightening to me. Your father must be very proud, a powerful comfort to him.

Shay: An amazing syllabus for any administration pursuing a "level" negotiation with Iran. We are fools.
I will pray for your dad and pray for a better future for Iran.
Scotch is the ambrosia of freedom! I will keep your dad in my prayers, Shay.
